Erik Bosgraaf | Concerto Köln
»Bridges«

Erik Bosgraaf and Concerto Cologne build bridges between Baroque and contemporary music.
Creative powerhouse: When the ever-adventurous recorder player Erik Bosgraaf meets the equally exploratory members of Concerto Köln, a special concert experience is virtually guaranteed. Together, they build bridges between yesterday and today, between baroque and modern.
Their joint programme is aptly named »Bridges«, in which Antonio Vivaldi and Georg Friedrich Händel, two of the greatest masters of the Italian concerto, build a bridge from the Baroque to the contemporary Ukrainian composer Victoria Poleva. Georg Philipp Telemann then looks from Italy to France with the French dances from his »Overture Suite«, while Erik Bosgraaf's own compositions act as hinges between the individual parts, which ultimately form a grand concert whole.
