Goldberg-Variationen
Nevermind: Bach

Four instruments, a new perspective on Bach's Goldberg Variationen.
The Nevermind Quartet, led by harpsichordist Jean Rondeau, has pulled off a real coup: in Cologne, the musicians will present Bach's famous Goldberg Variationen in their own arrangement for four instruments. Prepare your ears for an impressive version of this musical masterpiece!
Jean Rondeau is a gifted harpsichordist who also plays the organ and piano and is at home with everything from early music to jazz. Out of his love for chamber music, he founded a quartet with friends: Nevermind. Together they dedicate themselves to Bach's crowning achievement in Baroque variation art, the Goldberg Variationen – originally composed for harpsichord – in their own arrangement for violin, flute, viola da gamba, harpsichord and chest organ. In doing so, they maintain respect for the spirit of the original. Master Bach would have enjoyed this new perspective on his prominent work.
